The Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) offers support to Latvian businesses to promote the creation of innovative and new products in their business activities through innovative procurement. Support is provided for new products and their commercialisation, which are developed within the framework of innovation procurement.

Under the support programme, businesses can receive a grant of up to 50% of the procurement contract price, up to a maximum of EUR 50,000, for the following eligible activities:

• experimental development;
• certification and testing services;
• adaptation of existing innovation results to the customer's needs, if the customer purchases innovative products or technologies on the market;
• creation and testing of pilot projects.

Support is intended for commercial companies and small and medium-sized enterprises with which an innovation procurement contract has been concluded within the framework of a public procurement procedure.

The support is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
