The construction industry plays an important role in the Latvian economy, as it employs 70,000 professionals and adds around €1,2 billion to the state budget. The companies are mostly working in construction, renovation or manufacturing of building materials.
The exports are steadily increasing, currently amounting to more than €350 million. The services by Latvian companies are mainly demanded in Sweden, Germany, Lithuania, Finland, and Norway.
